PTZOptics cameras offer various video outputs including: HD-SDI, HDMI, USB 3.0, IP Streaming and CVBS.
Each video cable has its own distance limitations to be aware of.
For Mac computers we support Air Beam, Evo Cam, Remote Sight (recommended, see video), Security Spy software.
For Linux we support Motion, MJPG-streamer, Zone Minder.
Once you have logged into the camera’s GUI interface you can browse to the “Video” tab to enter your RTSP or RTMP streaming credentials.
We have options for embedding audio which will come through the camera’s 3.5mm audio input.
HDMI cabling can reach distances up to 50’ without requiring extensions and CVBS cabling limitations are highly dependent on the quality of cabling.
You will notice each PTZOptics camera also have a analog CVBS port. If you wish to use this port you must set the resolution to 480i or 576i and the other digital ports will be disabled.
HD-SDI cabling is preferred for long distances up to 1,000’.
Network cabling for IP streaming can be extended up to 328’.
Every PTZOptics camera includes an IR remote control which can be used for camera PTZ and configuration.
You will notice each IR remote control can operate up to 4 cameras.
